Empowering with Care, Education, and Joy
In a remarkable outreach led by Abokin Inc., the Jawabu Camp for Disabled Children in Eldoret, Kenya, became a center of compassion, health education, and hope. The initiative focused on restoring dignity, supporting personal development, and meeting the practical needs of children living with disabilities.
Impact Highlights:
🧼 Hygiene Kit Training and Distribution – 35 Children
Each child received a personal hygiene kit containing soap, washcloths, and essentials. They were trained on proper handwashing and personal cleanliness—critical tools in protecting their health and boosting their self-esteem.
🦷 Dental Care Training and Toothbrush/Paste Distribution – 284 Children
In a significant oral health initiative, children were taught how to brush and care for their teeth. They each received a toothbrush and toothpaste to promote daily hygiene habits.
📚 Dental Education – 284 Children
Educational sessions were conducted to teach children about the importance of oral hygiene, including how sugar affects teeth and how to keep a healthy smile. These lessons were tailored to be accessible, interactive, and fun.
🎨 Dental-Themed Coloring Books and Crayons
To reinforce learning and provide a joyful outlet, each child was given a dental coloring book and crayons. These materials helped connect education with creativity and play.
👕 Clothing Distribution
Clean, quality clothing was distributed to help meet basic needs and give each child a sense of pride and comfort. The smiles on their faces were a beautiful reminder that small gifts can make a big difference.
🧸 Toys for Joy
Toys were shared to spark laughter, sensory engagement, and emotional connection. For many of these children, it was their first time receiving a toy of their own—an unforgettable moment of pure joy.
This program reflects Abokin Inc.’s ongoing mission to uplift marginalized communities through tangible acts of service and love. Each item distributed and every lesson taught brought dignity, hope, and happiness to children who deserve nothing less.
