Supporting Malawi’s Families: A Collaborative Outreach by Azure Hills SDA Church, San Bernardino Community, and Abokin Inc.
In 2024, Azure Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, in collaboration with caring individuals from the San Bernardino, California community and in partnership with Abokin Inc., organized a meaningful outreach initiative to support families in Malawi by donating essential baby care items. This heartfelt effort included the collection and distribution of baby blankets, diapers, and other necessary supplies, aimed at providing comfort, warmth, and practical assistance to new mothers and their infants living in underserved communities.
Abokin Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health, education, and well-being in Africa, played a vital role in coordinating and facilitating the delivery of these supplies to those most in need. Through their deep community connections and ongoing mission work in Malawi, Abokin ensured that the donated items reached the hands of families facing economic hardship and limited access to basic necessities.
This initiative was more than just a charitable act—it was a demonstration of shared values, compassion, and global solidarity. Volunteers from Azure Hills SDA Church and the San Bernardino area worked tirelessly alongside Abokin to collect, organize, and prepare the donations, inspired by a collective desire to serve others through faith and action.
The partnership between Azure Hills SDA Church, the San Bernardino community, and Abokin Inc. exemplifies the powerful impact that can be made when local communities join forces with mission-driven organizations to uplift lives around the world. This effort brought hope, dignity, and tangible support to families in Malawi and continues to inspire a spirit of generosity and service that transcends borders.
