🌿 MINISTRY OF HEALING TRAINING

Abokin’s Mission Trip to Kenya: Ministry of Healing & Natural Remedies Training at the State Department of Early Learning:

During Abokin’s recent mission trip to Kenya, a special focus was placed on holistic wellness through the Ministry of Healing Training, held in collaboration with the State Department of Early Learning. This impactful initiative combined spiritual outreach with practical health education, equipping local families and early childhood educators with simple, effective natural remedies. Participants were introduced to a variety of healing methods rooted in traditional wisdom and accessible resources. These included a drink made from lemon water and crushed papaya seeds, traditionally used to support the liver and fight parasitic infections such as malaria, and Nature’s Penicillin, a powerful homemade tonic composed of garlic, ginger, lemon, onion, and cayenne, known for boosting immunity and fighting infections. The training also covered daily natural remedies that promote overall well-being, such as herbal teas, fermented foods, and nutrient-rich drinks. Practical demonstrations featured the preparation and application of charcoal poultices for detoxification and infection, onion poultices for respiratory relief, fig poultices for ulcers and inflammation, cabbage leaves for swelling and joint pain, and potato and carrot poultices for treating burns, infections, and inflammation. By integrating these natural therapies with spiritual encouragement and early learning principles, Abokin’s mission not only healed bodies but also uplifted hearts, leaving behind a legacy of empowerment, health, and hope.

👓DISTRIBUTION OF EYE GLASSES

Eyeglass Distribution by Abokin – 250 Pairs Provided
As part of Abokin’s commitment to health and community well-being, 250 pairs of eyeglasses were distributed to individuals experiencing vision challenges. This initiative not only addressed a critical healthcare need but also restored the ability for many to read, work, attend school, and fully participate in daily life. For recipients who had long struggled with blurred vision or limited access to eye care, these eyeglasses represented more than just improved sight—they were a renewed sense of independence and dignity. The distribution was carried out with care and attention, ensuring each pair was matched appropriately, making a lasting impact across all age groups in the community.

📚 Site Visits: Kakamega SDA Satellite Academy & Chebwai Adventist Complex

As part of the 2023 ABOKIN missionary outreach, Dr. Cordel Briggs visited Kakamega SDA Satellite Academy, engaging with over 220 students during a special school-wide assembly. The visit included an assessment of the facilityand direct encouragement to students, emphasizing the value of faith-based learning and purpose-driven education.

At Chebwai Adventist Academy—part of the 210-student Chebwai Adventist Complex—Dr. Briggs conducted a powerful session with the student body. He challenged them with a thought-provoking theme:

“A poetic response from the Motherland to Black America.”

This creative and cultural prompt was designed to deepen students’ sense of identity, heritage, and spiritual calling through the lens of poetry and expression.

In a gesture of practical support, Dr. Briggs donated:

  • 🎥 A digital projector

  • 🖊 A stack of pens

  • ✍️ Dry erase markers

  • 📋 Instructional poster sheets for teachers

These resources will enhance classroom instruction and help equip teachers for more dynamic, visual learning experiences.
