Biodata of Pastor S.K. Twumasi, BTh, MDiv and DMin

Known to his numerous students, converts and church members as “Daktari (Kiswahili for doctor), Pastor S.K. Twumasi has been a “street and market” preacher, church planter, urban church pastor, international evangelist, Literature evangelist, missionary, University professor and administrator in diverse places. international evangelist, Literature evangelist, missionary, University professor and administrator in diverse places. He was educated at Valley View University (Ghana), Northern Caribbean University (Jamaica, West Indies) and Andrews University (Michigan, USA) where he obtained his bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in theology and history. Pastor Twumasi has conducted evangelistic meetings, training seminars and revival meetings in Africa, Europe, North and South Americas. He has also had stint as a literature evangelist with the Skandinaviska Bokforlaget in Sweden and with Norsk Bokforlag in Norway during his time as a student. Additionally, he has also gone on several tours to the Bible lands of Israel, Greece and Asia Minor (modern Turkey).

He has also presented academic papers in Hong Kong, Tanzania, Hawaii, Kenya, Germany and Nigeria under the sponsorship of General Conference Education Department, Howard University, Moore Foundation and UNESCO. His articles have appeared in the Adventist Review, EAD Outlook, The Link, Journal of Adventist Thought in Africa (JATA), GC Education Department Christ in the Classroom series and other publications. He is the author of the book, The 7 R’s of Great Marriages and has a daily radio program on CBradio Ghana and Yonkodo Radio stations. He also has a weekly marriage program called Marriage Vitamin C on Youtube and Facebook. Pastor Twumasi attend an Abokin Inc. lay training seminar in Central Central Ghana Conference as young boy. He studied under Dr. Lindsay Thomas Jr, the founder of Abokin and Brother Hubert Goodlett in the 1970’s. He became an Abokin lay preacher in Kumasi within the Central Ghana Conference and planted several churches. Later he was sponsored by Abokin Inc. to study theology at Valley View University from 1982-84. After his theological studies he traveled with Dr. Lindsay Thomas and the Abokin team to several countries in Africa to train lay preachers and plant several churches Pastor Twumasi and his life partner in team ministry, Felicia, have three children-Kofi (a lawyer in Ohio), Kojo (Pastor in Ohio Conference) and Afia (a medical student). The entire family completed six years of tour of duty as missionaries at Bugema University in Uganda, East Africa where Pastor Twumasi worked as a Bible teacher, Academic Dean and acting Vice Chancellor. From 2003-2016 he served as a district pastor of three churches within the Greater New York Conference of SDA Church. Since March 2016 he has been the senior minister of the Columbus
Ghanaian and Prince of Peace Ghanaian SDA Churches in Ohio Conference of SDA.
